Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing support and education to students with special needs. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
- Provide direct instruction in various subjects, including early childhood education, deaf education, speech therapy, and physical education
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible support for students
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills development
- Assess student performance through formal and informal assessments
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with children with special needs in a childcare or educational setting
- Familiarity with deaf education and speech therapy techniques
- Excellent classroom management skills to create an engaging and structured learning environment
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors effectively
- Understanding of child welfare regulations and best practices in daycare settings
