We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team.
As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the budget and planning of projects, as well as monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes,
- Collaborating with project managers to ensure precise revenue recognition and project profitability,
- Monitoring and analyzing project financial performance, tracking actual costs against budgets,
- Liaising with vendors and sub-vendors for billing purposes (AIA),
- Analyzing variances between actual and budgeted data, identify discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues,
- Preparing project cash flow analysis as well as cash flows for the company,
- Participating in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Providing support for day-to-day operations,
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred,
- Three or more years of construction accounting experience,
- AIA experience is required,
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel required,
- Experience with Sage 300 highly preferred, but not required,
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
