Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to drive business decisions having to deal with our vendor rebate program.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and record rebate payments received from over 75 vendors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Monitor monthly sales data for each vendor to verify the correctness of rebate amounts paid, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.

Track sales data across over 700 franchise owners to accurately distribute rebate earnings and support equitable profit sharing among franchisees.

Oversee the invoicing and financial tracking of sponsorship revenues for the organization's annual conference, ensuring timely and accurate accounting.

Pursue collection efforts for unpaid or partially paid rebates from vendors, maintaining diligent follow-up to secure owed funds.

Collaborate closely with business analysts and the Director of Partnerships to identify and develop new revenue opportunities, enhancing financial growth and partnership value.

Assist in performing month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.

Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.

Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as asked by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 5 years accounting experience or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.

Excellent communication and people skills for effective customer interactions.

Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent organizational and time management skills to be able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
