As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for performing various tasks within the warehouse to ensure the efficient flow of goods and materials. Your duties will include receiving shipments, picking and packing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with general warehouse organization. You will play a critical role in supporting the overall operation and success of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments of goods, materials, and products.
Inspect shipments for accuracy, damages, and discrepancies.
Record received items into inventory systems and distribute to appropriate storage locations.
Pick items from inventory based on customer orders or requisitions.
Ensure accuracy in item selection, quantity, and condition.
Pack items securely and prepare them for shipment.
Maintain organized and clean inventory storage areas.
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
Replenish stock as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels.
Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery to customers or other locations.
Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Generate shipping labels and documentation as required.
Inspect items for damage, defects, or discrepancies during receiving, picking, and packing.
Report any quality issues to supervisors and assist in resolving them.
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and handheld scanners.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
