SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing Human Resources functions at the manufacturing facility including staffing; compensation and benefits administration; health and safety programs and employee activities. Primary focus will be to support plant management and supervisory staffing concerning resolution of human resources related issues and concerns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Examine and improve day to day programs to assure timely and cost effective response to supervisor’s and employees’ questions and concerns.
- Implement appropriate and timely staffing programs. Provide plant management with effective and timely responses to issues and assist with employee relations.
- Recruits, interviews, and select employees to fill vacant positions.
- Establish programs to orient new employees to Hutchinson and to provide all employees with an orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Lead all plant immigration procedures.
- Manages employee termination process including exit interviews.
- Establish and monitor effective safety and health programs. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for Workers Compensation carrier.
- Keep records personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
- Conducts wage survey within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover and monthly HR reports.
- Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
- Manages relationship with HR outside providers including but not limited to staffing services and other HR service providers.
- Conducts all plant Government required reporting, EE0-1, OSHA logs, OSHA 300A logs, etc.
- Foster utilization of team concepts throughout the organization.
- Travel may be required on an infrequent basis to other Hutchinson locations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university and 5-7 years progressive HR Experience preferably in the manufacturing industry. Experience with ADP Payroll strongly preferred. Must be familiar with all Federal and State Employment Laws.
