Dental Office Manager
We are hiring a permanent, enthusiastic, and energetic Dental Office Manager to join our team.
The Office Manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure the office runs smoothly and efficiently, ensuring patients have a great experience. As an Office Manager, you should positively contribute to the success of your team and oversee daily office activities as well as provide direction and guidance to staff as needed. Responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the business office, including: patient and employee relations; hiring; management of marketing and communications efforts; ensuring regulatory compliance; staff training and motivation. Assist the dentist with other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High-level knowledge of office administration, various dental procedures, and the ability to train, supervise and coach all staff in the dental office.
- Experience with both administrative and clinical aspects of a dental office.
- Must have exceptional attention to detail and strong time management.
- Familiarity with dental procedures, their benefits and risks
- Ability to explain complex concepts to patients and employees
- A minimum of two years of Dental Office experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal; and ability to oversee staff schedule to ensure full coverage
- Superior organizational ability with problem solver and critical thinking skills.
- Can effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
Specific Duties:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the dental office
- Oversee the day-day administrative operations of the dental office
- Manage and direct staff assignments and activities in accordance with office policies and applicable laws
- Stay current with trends, legislation and regulations in the dental profession
- Manage the hiring and ongoing performance of staff
- Oversee patient relations and handle patient complaints
- Assign, direct and manage staff duties
- Determine staff schedules
- Recruit, interview, hire and train new staff members
- Monitor staff performance
- Coordinate team meetings
- Engage in conflict resolution
