The Gilpin Casino is currently in search of a “Bartender”. We first opened our doors in 1992 following the legalization of gambling. Situated in the heart of the storied gaming district, this historic building offers the same “Old West” charm as it did in 1869. The Gilpin Casino encompasses more than 37,000 square feet with 400 slot machines and Lucille Malone’s Restaurant that serves legendary comfort food.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
-
Offer and serve beverages to all Bar top- and walk-up guests, following departmental policy on alcohol service
-
Accurately and consistently record all beverage sales
-
Prepare, in a timely manner, all Cocktail orders, ensuring product consistency and quality
-
Maintain the bar top, wash glassware, cut fruit and restock as needed
-
Assist the guests for any additional requests
-
Practice TIPS awareness and the responsible serving of alcohol
-
Report all intoxicated guests to the Beverage Supervisor
-
Other related duties including but not limited to complying with the following: Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Gaming Rules and Regulations, Colorado Internal Control Minimum Procedures, Colorado Liquor and Beer Codes, Federal requirements for Anti-Money Laundering, Company Policies, and IRS reporting
Skills, Education and Other Requirements

Must be able to read English

Must have basic math skills
- Must have good verbal communication skills

Able to work in high volume environment with fast pace

Must have general beverage knowledge

High school Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience.

Previous experience in bars, restaurant or club (1year)

Knowledge of liquor products and recipes

Must possess a valid Colorado Gaming License

Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
