In this Temp to Hire role, you will be handling claims from customers by phone and email and making decisions on the best way to handle the claim. This client handles Medicare/health insurance claims.
Critical: During open season this client cannot accommodate any vacations or time off.
Duties:
- Interpret contract benefits based on the claims submitted
- Provide claim status updates to policy holders
- Produce correspondence, including refund letter requests to customers
- Some outbound calls are necessary to gather additional information to make a determination on claims
- Keep strong documentation for an audit trail
Skills:
- Must have a high school diploma
- Previous experience in Medicare Supplements or health care insurance is preferred
- Can type at least 40 wpm
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable taking a high volume of calls and solving problems
