JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years or older, high school graduate or equivalent preferred Must have Windows/Microsoft computer skills and typing efficiency. Preference given to experience with basic accounting techniques and office administration. Knowledge of the lumber industry helpful, but not required. JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Office Support Administrator creates and maintains detailed inventory records of lumber and/or logs and facilitates the flow of that information to management and the head office. Handles receptionist and routine clerical duties, including computer data entry, basic accounting functions and filing. Works closely with all other office staff and management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Computer data entry of lumber inventory/miscellaneous data entry.
2. Invoicing and cash receipts
3. Customer account maintenance.
4. Subsidiary account maintenance - by products.
5. Accounts payable: recording, preparing vouchers, filing.
6. Orders office supplies.
7. Answer phones and directs calls.
8. Processes mail.
9. Types letter and documents.
10. Processes truck orders.
11. Arranging mail post and deliveries
12. Maintains a clean work area.
INFREQUENT/MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Office cleaning/decorating.
2. Performs other duties as required.
