We are seeking a full-time Accountant who will assist the accounting team in carrying out the responsibilities of the department. Previous experience in accounts receivable/accounts payable, commercial/residential project accounting and invoicing in a construction environment is highly desirable.
Essential Duties:
- Billing and Cash application (AR duties)
- Bank and Credit Card reconciliations.
- Posting and coding of vendor invoices (AP duties)
- Matching of material/component purchase orders/requisitions to vendor invoices.
- Post credit card transactions into accounting system
- Posting of bank deposits to the cash account.
- Process referral and reimbursement payments.
- Scan all documents, checks and invoices and attach to accounting system.
- Other duties as assigned including balance sheet reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ experience or AA degree with 7 years of experience
- Degree in Accounting preferred but business admin OK with minimum of 4 accounting courses (Basic 1 and 2, Cost, Intermediate)
- Working knowledge of Excel, MS Office or G-Suite, Outlook or Gmail.
- QuickBooks experience preferred but knowledge of other integrated accounting systems acceptable.
- Ability to efficiently handle high transaction volume environment while not sacrificing accuracy.
